We recently identified a security issue involving the third-party developer library Axios that was part of a broader industry incident. We found no evidence that OpenAI user data was accessed, that our systems were compromised, or that our software was altered. Out of an abundance of caution we are taking steps to protect the process that certifies our macOS applications are legitimate OpenAI a...

Netherlands wants me to eat just 40 grams of meat per day 😂 I'm so happy I left my country a decade ago I think I eat at least 6kg of meat per week, so 5x more than I'm allowed to by the Dutch government!
BowTiedMara@BowTiedMaraDutch Prime Minister Rob “Trolo” Jetten has issued a controversial demand to his citizens, limiting their consumption of meat, dairy products, and cheese to just 300 grams per week, citing a commitment to "climate sustainability" that ma...

Vercel Sandbox is now the #1 fastest microVM-based Sandbox. We’ve also heard from customers migrating that beyond “in the lab” benchmarks, our real-world performance & reliability are second-to-none. Literally. Whether it’s 🦞 claws, coding agents, or plain compute parallelism, we think this is the foundation of the new world. Enjoy!
Malte Ubl@cramforceVercel Sandboxes are now the fastest sandbox using real VMs as security boundary based on the @computesdk benchmark. The team has been absolutely cooking on this. And the best thing: Because we have a unified Fluid Compute stack across S...

A "Neural Computer" is built by adapting video generation architectures to train a World Model of an actual computer that can directly simulate a computer interface. Instead of interacting with a real operating system, these models can take in user actions like keystrokes and mouse clicks alongside previous screen pixels to predict and generate the next video frames. Trained solely on recorded ...

It's tempting to compare frontier models to other areas of tech with high capital costs (fiber, chips, CSPs, lithography machinery etc.). But I'm not sure the analogy necessarily holds. For example: - LLMs are incredibly resistant to layering. Generally the consumer is a human, not another layer of software. The reasons for this are fundamental to the stochastic nature of models. - A consequenc...

In a decade, we'll look back and miss the chaos, culture wars and shenanigans of the early gen AI days. This shit gets professionalized real' quick. Enjoy the mayhem while we have it. We're all lucky to be in the middle of it.

I had to fact check because it sounded too unbelievable but it's true: Romania in 1981 just like the EU presented food austerity measures as "more healthy eating" In EU's case it's "meat is unhealthy" but the underlying austerity reasoning is same In both cases it's blatant propaganda to make people consume less!

This is so awesome! When I was a kid, when the Apollo mission were still relatively fresh in the recent past, I just assumed we would send people & missions to the moon quite regularly. Hard to believe we haven't since 1972! Congrats to everyone at @NASA! 🎉
