THE CLEAREST PATH TO A $10M+ SOFTWARE EXIT in 2 YEARS (with AI and agents) building an agency right now is one of the most interesting business moves the productized agency had its moment in 2022. it collapsed because scaling humans is a nightmare. inconsistent output, people quitting, margins getting crushed. most of the founders (and creators) who tried it got burned and moved on but the thes...

Mythos appears to be the first class of models trained at scale on Blackwells. Then will be Vera Rubins. Pre-training isn't saturated. RL works. And there is *so much* computing coming online soon. Buckle your chin strips. It's going to be fucking wild.

this video is the CLEAREST explanation of how claude skills + AI agents work and how to use them most people set up an AI agent and wonder why it keeps disappointing them. the context window is everything context is what the model assembles before it takes any action. think of it like everything the agent needs to read before it does anything. the quality of what goes in determines the quality ...

"But here is what we found when we tested: We took the specific vulnerabilities Anthropic showcases in their announcement, isolated the relevant code, and ran them through small, cheap, open-weights models. Those models recovered much of the same analysis. Eight out of eight models detected Mythos's flagship FreeBSD exploit, including one with only 3.6 billion active parameters costing $0.11 pe...

btw you can see this effect live on OpenRouter: total # tokens has gone from 1.78T / wk one year ago to 27T / wk today (15.2x). but % usage of the frontier / most expensive model has gone from 22% one year ago (Sonnet 3.7) to just 4% today (Opus 4.6). economics works! https://t.co/yKKi4UB6zn

Total amt of flops across all the GPUs in the world has grown about 3x per year for the last few years. Total amt of inference demand has probably grown ~10x per year. What happens when those lines cross? The econ answer is: when demand ...

If you're an AI/agent builder, it's so important that you don't overbuild and overcommit on a specific toolset and infrastructure. Frontier labs are shipping not just the models, but the harnesses and surrounding tooling such that your existing stack might be obsolete next week. * e.g. if you had a super complex RAG stack, you may need to rip it out in favor of agents + sandboxes * e.g. if you ...

Hedged requests (apparently inspired by the Tail at Scale paper by myself and Luiz Barroso) applied within a single machine to replicating data across DRAM channels and issuing reads to all channels, using the one that comes back first. ~5-15X reduction in p99.99 read latency. https://github.com/LaurieWired/tailslayer/blob/main/README.md Cool stuff, @lauriewired! The new model from Meta is already looking like a disappointment: overoptimized for public benchmark numbers at the detriment of everything else. Knowing how to evaluate models in a way that correlates with actual usefulness is a core competency for AI labs, and any new lab is unlikely to be successful without first figuring that out.

The web's brightest days are ahead. 1️⃣ The web is AI's natural medium. LLMs are proficient in web tech. The browser is now everyone's IDE. No 'App Store' bs. 2️⃣ As we approach coding superintelligence, powerful low-level web APIs are maturing: WebGPU, HTML in Canvas, WebAssembly. The performance ceiling of the web will vanish, and you'll witness the most impressive, whimsical, and multi-dimen...

What happens when those lines cross? The econ answer is: when demand > supply, price goes up. The feature I most want from AI labs right now is documentation on which underlying search engines they use when their chat tools run a search OpenAI and Anthropic and Meta AI all have search and I have NO IDEA what index they are using (I would hope tha Gemini uses Google!)
